So on most of my friends blogs, they have a little about themselves, and their story.
Our story begins about 6 years ago. We met in 10th grade literature at North Cobb High School. He was a senior and I was a sophomore. Most of you know, we began talking for a friend of mine...needless to say...it didn't work out for them:)So we began dating the summer of '04. And from there...it was just us.

We officially became a couple on July 16, 2004 (which is a date we made up, since we have no idea when we became "official". You know how it goes in high school!)
And now, we are old! Garren has owned his own concrete company. Pouring, staining and creating are all in his line of work. He does make some really nice stuff, if I do say so myself! He is now in Iraq serving as a civilian contractor for KBR.

He is loving every minute of it. I often hear him say, if it wasn't for me, he would stay over there as long as they would let him. But, he will only serve 2 years, for now. He left August 31. I will have that be known as probably the worst day of my life so far. I never knew it would be so hard to let him go...just watching him walk away. My heart went into the Atlanta Airport that day, and I left it there. Well a week after that, I got a surprise phone call. Garren was headed to Dubai, and he had a layover...IN ATLANTA! So we had our very last dinner together. It was only an hour or so visit, but I needed it more than I knew. So now he's gone, and I'm here. People say I am holding up amazing, but that's only what they see. I am not going to get upset everyday, he needs me to be strong here and support him while he's away.
So now my story! I got accepted into the Kennesaw State University Wellstar School of Nursing!

Such a hard school to get into, and I am very proud of myself! I have almost (in one week!) completed my first semester! Now just four more to go! I absolutely love being in the hospital and learning to help others. You guys know I'm a caregiver by nature, so this is definitely my niche in life. I have also started a new job at a restaurant literally 30 seconds from my house. Guston's. I serve and bartend there. Which I am also enjoying.
Every day gets a little easier as time goes on, and then that one day hits me, he's really not here. But I'm surviving, and so is he. We are strong. Always have been.
One day, not so far away,(February), I'll get one more hug...and life will go on for Eryn and Garren:)
Aww. Eryn!!! I love it! So excited to read updates of your life :) Background is cute too!!
